School's Out/ Summer Series
Join us for S.T.E.A.M. and nature fun for School's Out / Summer Series at Green STEAM Lab!
Explore how Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math work together as we review the different principles of S.T.E.A.M through games, experiments, crafts, and more!
Weather permitting, we will spend time indoors and outdoors.
Our half-day program (8:45 am-12:00 noon) is open to children ages 3-9, and our full-day program is open to children ages 5-9. Aftercare is available daily until 6 pm (ages 5-9).
We offer daily and weekly registration options. Our half-day weekly program for all groups is hosted through the Town of Orangetown Parks and Rec Department.
Green STEAM Lab's Summer Series is hosted at St Thomas Aquinas College (125 Route 340, Sparkill, NY 10976). Classroom numbers to be shared upon registration.

June 29 July 3- General STEAM CAMP: Join Green STEAM Lab as we explore how Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math work together! Each day we will review a different principle of S.T.E.A.M. through games, experiments, crafts and more!
Closed July 6-17
July 20- July 24- Space Adventures: Participants will turn into mini astronauts, learning about outer space in a fun, engaging way. Through hands-on activities, crafts, and discussions participants will learn about everything in outer space!
July 27 - July 31- Eruptions and Explosions: Learn about Eruptions and Explosions! Participants will explore the science behind eruptions and explosions through hands-on experiments and demonstrations.
August 3- August 7- Sticks, Bricks, and Structures: Have you ever wondered about different structures? Learn and build structures using various materials to understand why a bridge may sway in the wind and why skyscrapers are so tall!
August 10- August 14- Mixed Masterpieces: Explore the world of art! Participants will learn about various artists worldwide, and work with multiple styles, techniques, and mediums. Grades 2-4 will work with 3-D pens!
August 17- August 21- Cool Cardboard Crafts: You see a box, we see a canvas! Participants will create upcycled cardboard creations- the possibilities are endless! Participants will be encouraged to think out of the box and learn to use MakeDo tools!
August 24- August 28- Cinematic Science: Learn about stage and film production! Participants will engage through hands-on activities and crafts like circuit mazes and instrument making and playing, sun and photo paper experiments, games like charades and pretend play.

Important
Details
​-Participants should pack a change of clothing, water bottle, and a snacks or light lunch daily.
-We are an allergy friendly place; no nut products.
-Green STEAM Lab provides fruits, fruit bars and chips. We may provide bagels, pizza and juice ice pops on Fridays.
-Green STEAM Lab does not provide transportation.
-All participants must be fully bathroom independent.
-We do not apply sunscreen or bug spray to children.

Information
-Green STEAM Lab does not have nap or rest time.
-During hot weather (over 91) we will do extended cool down times.
-Each age group will have their own classroom. Items may not be left overnight.
-We are student screen free space. Students may bring their electronic devices (cell phones, smart watches, tablets, etc) but may not be used unless for dismissal or medical purposes.​
